Effects
The effects have been completely redone and greatly enhance. Now, a full compliment of kind of effects you would expect to find associated with vintage keyboards are available. In addition, many of the effects include presets that emulate vintage devices. Nine effects are include: equalizer, compressor, chorus, flanger, phaser, amplifier, was pedal, delay, and reverb.
The equalizer is now a four band EQ that emulates the ubiquitous SSL strip. The high and low bands can be switched between bell and shelf. Additionally, a unique Upper Octave Leveler allows you to dial in a bright sound without resulting in the upper octaves “screaming.”
Reverb is now convolution based vs. the much simpler algorithmic-based original. Rooms, chambers, plates, halls, and ambience are included with many variations from which to choose.
A full range of modulation effects are now available: chorus, flanger, and phaser with presets that emulate vintage stomp boxes and devices.
The wah pedal can be assigned to touch, mod wheel, and foot controllers #04 and #11.
Snapshots
Snapshots provide a wide range of sounds that take full advantage of the new effects. User snapshots can be saved as well.
New Clavinet Filters
Version II provides new filters for both the Clavinet C and D6. This is a huge improvement over the original. The new BRILLIANT, TREBLE, MEDIUM, and SOFT filters are convolution-based and more accurately model the original instruments.
Interface Enhancements
Version II retains the overall look and feel of the original but includes refinements to the interface such as an improved velocity curve graphic as well as other small enhancements. On the Sparkletop EP. for example, you can now switch between monophonic and stereo vibrato/tremolo and there is a second sample mapping available.
The effects section can be easily accessed using the navigation button on the bottom. Changes to parameters on the Main panel will be reflected on the Effects panel, and vice versa.
